The English Concert Pianist Alexander Porter was born in Lowestoft, Suffolk. He studied the piano with John Barstow MBE, FRCM at the Royal College of Music, London.

 Alexander has performed throughout the UK for over 20 years. Regularly in demand as a Recitalist, he has been acclaimed for performances of the music of Schumann, Debussy and Liszt. Acknowledged for the intensity of communication and bravura his style encompasses both intimate expression and virtuoso power. He continues to win plaudits for his artistry, bringing
excitement to audiences whenever he plays. 

 

In Concerto he has performed along side Sharon Choa (Chamber Orchestra East Anglia) in Liszt Piano Concerto No. 1 and Beethoven Concerto No. 5 and with Jiri Belohlavek (BBC Symphony Orchestra) in Martinu: Toccata e Due canzoni.
 Recently he was invited to perform Mozart Concerto No. 21 and Beethoven Concerto No. 3 with renowned British Conductor Adrian Brown.
